Forest Bathing @ Sonic Springs

Sonic Springs is a conscious and transformative experience with our community of musicians, artists, yogis, wellness practitioners, and you! Join us this summer for 3 days of music, dancing, art, yoga, wellness, and love on the Saugeen River.

Practice mindfulness in a forest setting, fully immersing oneself in the surroundings and using mindfulness prompts to promote relaxation. The 3 hour journey invites participants to learn about the art of forest bathing and its benefits for mind, body, and spirit.

Shinrin Yoku mini session LIVE

Join in to hear an invitation to enjoy nature's song. This thirty minute mini forest therapy session will include an introduction to the practise of shinrin yoku, also known as forest bathing. Following this, an invitation will be shared with participants. If you are able to join from an outdoor location you can try this meditative exercise on the spot or write down the invitation to try out on your next outdoor adventure.

Arbor Day Winnipeg

On June 3rd, visit with Forest Therapy Guide Brynne Maguire. During the Arbor day festivities you can explore the urban forest of Winnipeg, learn about forestry and arbor care and, from Boreal Fix, share in a selection of sensory activities to invite participants to connect with nature. For adults, (ages 12+) a public Intro to Forest Bathing walk will be offered 10:30-11:30 and 2:30-3:30 and family friendly activities will be hosted throughout the day.

Forest Bathing is the practice of mindfulness in a forest setting, fully immersing oneself in the surroundings and using mindfulness prompts to promote relaxation. The 60 minute workshops invite participants to learn about the art of forest bathing and its benefits for mind, body, and spirit. In a virtual setting join with others looking to explore the forest in a new way. Participants will learn about the origins, science behind and practise of forest bathing and be guided through a series of sensory invitations followed by a discussion on taking the practice of forest bathing on your next outdoor adventure

Youth led forest walk: rediscovering nature through the eyes of a child

Hiking with little ones often means frequent stops for snacks, drinks and wonderment. From gazing at moss, running hands through the grass, picking flowers or staring at clouds, kids have a gift for finding magic in the world around them.

Forest Wellness Walk

Let’s take a walk in the woods,

No summits that must be reached, no specific destination in mind, no ID books in your pack.

Your guide will share an introduction to Shinrin Yoku, discuss the benefits of the practise, lead a low impact walk with a series of invitations to allow participants to explore and connect with nature in a new way and conclude with a foraged tea ceremony.
